FDA-cleared for muscle rehabilitation, chronic pain relief, and improved mobility — a non-invasive, physician-guided approach that goes well beyond body contouring.
EmSculpt Neo is FDA-cleared across a wide therapeutic range — muscle rehabilitation, chronic pain relief, improved range of motion, neuropathy treatment, and aesthetic body contouring. At Trinity, we actively use it to treat chronic pain, mobility limitations, and musculoskeletal conditions.
At Trinity, EmSculpt Neo is part of coordinated, whole-person care — paired with complementary functional treatments like peptide therapy, and with TMJ treatment for jaw pain and dysfunction. That breadth reflects Trinity’s physician founders: a restorative dentist whose training applies directly to TMJ, and a board-certified surgeon who also founded MD Total Wellness, a functional-medicine practice next door.
EmSculpt Neo holds FDA clearance for a comprehensive range of functional wellness and rehabilitation indications:
Most chronic musculoskeletal pain shares a root cause: muscle weakness, imbalance, and dysfunction. Weak core muscles fail to support the spine. Weak muscles around a knee or shoulder fail to stabilize the joint. Chronic spasm restricts circulation and perpetuates pain. Many conventional treatments address this gradually or symptomatically; EmSculpt Neo works to target the underlying muscular cause directly.
Its HIFEM+ technology delivers thousands of supramaximal contractions per session — far more than voluntary exercise — rebuilding the muscular support structures responsible for joint stability and pain-free movement. The synchronized radiofrequency boosts local blood flow, bringing oxygen to healing tissue, reducing inflammation, and promoting recovery. Together they address both the structural and vascular sides of pain, with improvements that build progressively across the treatment series.
At Trinity Aesthetic Studio, EmSculpt Neo functional wellness treatments are used to address a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional conditions:
EmSculpt Neo functional wellness treatments are well suited for adults experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain, mobility limitations, post-surgical recovery needs, or muscle weakness and atrophy from any cause — including aging, inactivity, injury, or GLP-1 weight loss. A complimentary consultation will assess your specific condition, goals, and suitability for EmSculpt Neo functional wellness treatment.
EmSculpt Neo is not appropriate for those with metal implants or pacemakers in or near the treatment area, those who are pregnant, or those with active infections in the treatment area. Patients with serious medical conditions should discuss their suitability at consultation.
Every functional wellness journey begins with a complimentary consultation to evaluate your condition, pain history, and goals — and to design a treatment protocol calibrated to your needs. For patients also seen at MD Total Wellness next door, EmSculpt Neo rehabilitation can be coordinated with weight loss support, hormone therapy, and peptide therapy for a comprehensive approach.
If EmSculpt Neo functional wellness treatment is right for you, here is what to expect:

EmSculpt Neo rehabilitation works best as part of a coordinated plan, and Trinity can integrate it with a full range of supporting therapies for a comprehensive, root-cause approach to pain and recovery.
Systemic peptide therapy is a strong complement. Peptides that support collagen production, healing, and recovery — like BPC-157, TB-500, and GHK-Cu — can support EmSculpt Neo outcomes by aiding tissue repair and muscle rebuilding from within. These are available through MD Total Wellness, alongside hormone therapy and medically supervised weight loss, and can be coordinated seamlessly with your treatment at Trinity.
Emvital, Trinity’s FDA-cleared therapeutic laser, is another powerful pairing — increasing local circulation, reducing inflammation, and promoting tissue healing to address the vascular and inflammatory side of pain that muscle stimulation alone cannot reach. The combination of EmSculpt Neo and EmVital is a particularly effective protocol for chronic pain and rehabilitation.
For patients seeking to rebuild core strength and pelvic floor function together, Trinity offers the Core to Floor package — pairing EmSculpt Neo with Emsella to address two complementary layers of core health:
Together they create a comprehensive, inside-out approach to core health, addressing both the outer abdominal foundation and the deep pelvic floor at once. Core to Floor is especially valuable for postpartum recovery, chronic back pain, bladder control concerns, and anyone rebuilding core strength and function from the ground up.
Trinity works to treat the source of pain rather than mask it — building the muscle strength and circulation that address dysfunction at its root, with treatment protocols calibrated to your condition and goals.
That root-cause approach is matched by genuine breadth. EmSculpt Neo can be combined with EmVital therapeutic laser for pain and recovery, with TMJ treatment, and with supportive therapies like peptides, hormone therapy, and medically supervised weight loss where appropriate — coordinated, integrated functional wellness care under one physician-led practice. Behind that breadth are licensed physician founders: a board-certified surgeon with deep experience in functional wellness, and a restorative dentist whose background applies directly to TMJ treatment with EmSculpt Neo.

EmSculpt Neo is FDA-cleared for a wide range of rehabilitation and functional wellness indications — including chronic back pain, joint pain (knees, shoulders, hips), plantar fasciitis, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, muscle atrophy, post-surgical rehabilitation, postpartum recovery, and TMJ. It is also cleared for muscle re-education, spasm relief, range-of-motion improvement, and circulation enhancement. We’ll assess whether it’s appropriate for your specific condition at your complimentary consultation.
Most chronic low back pain originates from weak core and lower back muscles that fail to support the spine — loading the discs and joints and contributing to pain. EmSculpt Neo delivers supramaximal contractions to these muscles, building the strength and stability that can reduce spinal load, ease spasms, and improve posture. The synchronized RF component enhances circulation and promotes healing. The goal is lasting relief through genuine muscular strengthening rather than symptom management alone.
Yes. Much joint pain stems from weakness in the muscles that stabilize the joint. EmSculpt Neo builds and strengthens the surrounding musculature — quadriceps and hamstrings for the knee, rotator cuff and surrounding muscles for the shoulder, and the supporting muscles around the hips and ankles — helping to improve stability, reduce load on the joint, and relieve pain at its source.
Yes. EmSculpt Neo helps accelerates recovery from orthopedic and other surgeries by rebuilding the surrounding muscle tissue, improving circulation to the healing area, and preventing the muscle atrophy that often occurs during recovery. Treatment parameters are calibrated to your stage of recovery and your surgeon’s guidance. We’ll evaluate your suitability and timing at your consultation.
Yes. EmSculpt Neo helps build the deep core and abdominal muscles that support the spine and underpin balance, posture, and functional movement. For comprehensive core and pelvic floor rebuilding, Trinity offers the Core to Floor package — pairing EmSculpt Neo with Emsella — which can be beneficial for postpartum recovery, chronic back pain, and anyone rebuilding stability and mobility from the ground up.
Both use the same EmSculpt Neo device and the same 30-minute session format, but treatment parameters — intensity, contraction patterns, and RF settings — are calibrated differently. Functional wellness sessions are typically less intense than EmSculpt Neo aesthetic sessions and optimized for therapeutic muscle re-education and rehabilitation rather than maximum hypertrophy and fat reduction. Your protocol is calibrated specifically for your condition and goals.
Yes — at Trinity, Dr. Krishnan uses EmSculpt Neo to treat TMJ dysfunction. The treatment helps relieve jaw muscle spasms, increase mandibular range of motion, and improve blood flow in the temporomandibular joint — addressing the muscular component of TMJ pain. Dr. Krishnan’s dental background and deep familiarity with the temporomandibular joint apply directly to this treatment.
A minimum of 4 sessions is standard for most functional wellness applications, with 6–8 sessions recommended for chronic conditions or significant muscle atrophy. Sessions are typically spaced 5–10 days apart. Maintenance sessions every 3–6 months sustain and build on your results. We’ll recommend the right protocol for your condition at your consultation.
Yes — integrated treatment planning is one of Trinity’s key differentiators. EmSculpt Neo pairs well with Emvital, Trinity’s therapeutic laser, which boosts circulation and reduces inflammation to address the vascular and inflammatory side of pain that muscle stimulation alone can’t reach. Treatment can also be coordinated with peptide therapy, hormone therapy, and medically supervised weight loss through MD Total Wellness next door for a comprehensive approach.
EmSculpt Neo functional wellness treatments at Trinity are cash pay. While its FDA clearances encompass rehabilitation and medical indications, insurance coverage is not available through Trinity. Dr. Oliak has spent his career drawn to fields of medicine that are genuinely transformational for patients — the kind of transformation that changes not just health, but how people feel about their lives.
That journey began with bariatric surgery. Over a 20-year surgical career, Dr. Oliak performed more than 3,500 operations — including as one of Orange County’s first surgeons to offer laparoscopic weight loss surgery — helping patients achieve outcomes that rippled across every dimension of their lives: physical, medical, and emotional. The benefit came not from the surgery itself, but from what the body achieved once the conditions for change were in place.
That insight shaped everything that followed. In 2023, Dr. Oliak founded MD Total Wellness on a simple but powerful conviction: that the body has a remarkable capacity to heal, rejuvenate, and restore — and that when given the right signals and raw materials, it does this better than anything we can artificially impose. Hormone therapy restores what aging takes away. Peptide therapy stimulates the body’s own pathways to achieve meaningful outcomes. The body, properly supported, does things better than we can artificially replicate.
Aesthetics became the natural next chapter. The same technology-driven, root-cause philosophy applies — advanced energy-based technologies and regenerative skincare stimulate the body’s natural processes to address the underlying causes of aging at every layer — from the structural foundation to collagen and skin surface. At Trinity, that means starting with the foundation — rebuilding muscle and connective tissue — before addressing collagen, and refining the surface last. Achieving results that are compelling precisely because they are natural. Everyone wants to look and feel their best — Dr. Oliak believes the body can get us there on its own terms.
At Trinity, Dr. Oliak brings a combination of surgical precision, deep scientific grounding, and a genuine passion for patient transformation — helping people not just look better, but feel better about who they are.
In Dr. Krishnan’s own words:
My work has always been shaped by a simple but profound conviction: that the face is not a surface to be perfected — it is a living system to be understood, respected, and supported.
Over more than 20 years of full mouth rehabilitation and restorative dentistry, I have come to see every smile as something far more than an aesthetic outcome. A smile is connected to the face, the muscles, the way a person moves, communicates, and expresses who they are. That understanding — of the head, neck, and facial system as a whole — is the foundation of everything I do, both in dentistry and at Trinity.
My clinical training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry gave me a rigorous foundation in precision, proportion, and restorative excellence. But what has defined my work over the years goes beyond technical standards. It is a commitment to pushing past them — through innovation grounded in science, not trends. Every decision I make — shape, proportion, occlusion, material, treatment — is guided by one question: will this harmonize with the body’s natural expressions, preserve its integrity, and support its long-term health?
I have a deep resistance to the idea that aesthetics should depend on masking or on creating dependency. There is a meaningful difference between treatments that simply change how someone looks and treatments that restore and enhance the body’s own capacity to function and heal. That distinction matters to me. It is why I am drawn to biocompatible, structurally sound approaches — treatments that work with the body’s biochemical and physiologic processes, not against them. Because if someone is investing in looking better, it should also mean becoming healthier.
I feel strongly about muscle. Not as an obstacle to smooth away, but as something essential — to movement, to expression, to identity. We speak with our muscles. We smile, connect, and live fully through them. Treatments that diminish natural movement work against the very systems that make us human. Preserving muscle function is not just an aesthetic choice — it is a commitment to longevity and vitality.
Trends in beauty come and go, driven by marketing cycles that shift and disappear. But timeless beauty operates differently. It is rooted in confidence, authenticity, and the ability to fully express yourself. That is what I am committed to — for every patient, in every treatment decision.
This philosophy is what brought me to co-found Trinity with Dr. Oliak. In aesthetics, as in dentistry, the goal has never been to override nature. It has always been to support it — using the best available science and technology to help the body do what it already knows how to do, only better. Because an exceptional result isn’t just seen. It’s felt — by you, and by everyone around you.
I would love to be part of your journey.
— Gail Ann Krishnan, DDS, MS
